Flair Camp is a small tented camp at Ololaimutiek, close to the reserve gate on the eastern Mara. Sixteen rooms, about twenty staff, en-suite safari tents with mosquito nets and reliable hot water.
We are going to be blunt, because you should hear it from us rather than discover it on arrival: the camp's own website markets itself with words like luxury and opulent. It is not a luxury camp. It is a clean, friendly, well-run budget camp, and the guest reviews on its own site say exactly that — “pocket friendly”, “budget accommodation”, and one mention of the water supply running out for an evening.
Because at its real price point it is good, and because the alternative for a cost-conscious client is usually a day-trip from Nairobi that wastes two of their three days in a vehicle. If your budget is tight and you want to actually be at the Mara rather than commuting to it, this works. What you are buying is location and warmth of welcome, not thread count.

Migration season, July to October, is when the eastern Mara is busiest and when even budget camps fill — book early.
Green season, March to May, is where the value really sits for a camp at this price point.
